In the development of High-Voltage Power Supplies of the DP-PH Series, special emphasis was placed on versatility, high performance, precision and stability. In addition to the usual basic functions of such units, such as precisely adjustable voltage and current values, overvoltage and overcurrent protection, and automatic switching between CC (constant current/current source) and CV (constant voltage/voltage source) modes, the DP-PH Series can be controlled via modern digital interfaces RS232, RS485, RS422 to set and record output values. The ARM architecture-based digital control loop provides fast response times and constant monitoring of output values, resulting in high stability and accuracy. Supporting the Modbus RTU protocol, the High-Voltage Power Supply can be easily integrated into a new or existing infrastructure and interact with Labview, while it can also be operated completely independently via front panel controls.

Format and performance
High-quality components and a lot of experience in the development of laboratory and industrial power supplies allow compact dimensions despite high power and voltage. Intelligent cooling regulates the speed depending on the set output parameters and temperature, so that the high-voltage power supply only reacts by increasing the speed when it is really needed. Up to 1.2kW of power is delivered by DP-PH series high voltage lab power supplies from a 19″ 2U 1/2 width cabinet, which allows mounting two units side by side in a 3U bay (with adapter). In addition, DP-PH series laboratory power supplies in all cabinet sizes can be rack mounted or used as free-standing units - matching mounting accessories for rack mounting are included free of charge with all 2U and 3U units. Suitable mounting accessories for two 19″ 2U 1/2 units in one rack can be ordered separately.

Because the development of DP-PH series high-voltage power supplies focused on laboratory applications with high demands on precision and automation, laboratory power supplies of this series are delivered with a comprehensive software suite for Window 10 & 11 that leaves almost nothing to be desired. Whether simple setting and monitoring of output values or programming of repetitive complex voltage/current curves - everything is done quickly and easily. The power supply can be connected via RS485, RS232 or RS422 and the communication via Modbus-RTU guarantees low latencies and reliable data transmission.
Compatible with many external expansion modules of the AP Series
High-Voltage Power Supplies of the DP-PH Series are compatible with many optional expansion modules of the AP Series, so you are no longer bound to the configuration you selected when ordering, but can also expand certain functions at a later date via external modules. In addition, the AP Series is continuously being expanded and maintained with new modules, so that you can also expand existing units in the future with new functions that we will introduce.
Currently, the following AP Series expansion modules are compatible with DP-PH Series laboratory power supplies:
Model AP9: Combined reverse current protection (inductive and capacitive loads)
Depending on the maximum voltage and current, the module is manufactured in 19″ 1RU 1/2, 2RU or 3RU construction and protects your power supply from reverse currents, which can occur when operating with large capacitive or inductive loads. Thus, you do not need an additional protective circuit between the power supply and your load, which reduces the effort enormously.
Model AP8: Additional EMC filter with capacitance on the output side
Some loads require a cleaner voltage than the power supply can deliver in the basic configuration, or on the contrary generate very strong interferences (e.g. by high frequency current pickup with very steep edges - square wave) which can influence the control of the power supply at high currents. For these cases we have developed the AP8 module which combines a three-stage EMC filter with a large fast capacitance to further stabilize the output voltage of the power supply in critical applications on the one hand and to protect the power supply from influences by loads on the other hand. This combination guarantees a stable output voltage even under the highest load of complex high frequency loads.
Equipped as standard with RS232, RS422 and RS485 with full Modbus RTU support, DP-PH Series High-Voltage Power Supplies can be quickly and effectively integrated into your existing infrastructure. Remote-sensing input, analogue status output (error/normal) and control input for output control (on/off) are also available as standard.
Digital interfaces RS232, RS422 & RS485 (standard)
Equipped with RS232, RS422 and RS485 connections as standard, with full support for the Modbus RTU protocol, laboratory power supplies of the DP-PH Series allows both integration into existing infrastructures and the development of new infrastructure. The open Modbus RTU protocol allows customised control solutions to be implemented quickly and effectively, so that nothing stands in the way of automation.
Remote-sensing input (standard)
The remote-sensing input is installed as standard in all High-Voltage Power Supplies of the DP-PH Series and allows line losses between the power supply unit and the load to be compensated. The power supply unit can compensate for losses of up to 2V by measuring the voltage at the load and automatically counteracting it. This function is especially useful for particularly long cables with small diameters. Furthermore, the remote-sensing input is necessary for connecting modules of the AP Series.
