In the development of digital Multifunctional Laboratory Power Supplies Series DP-P, special emphasis was placed on versatility, high performance, precision and stability. In addition to the usual basic functions, such as precisely adjustable voltage and current values, overvoltage and overcurrent protection, and automatic switching between CC (constant current/current source) and CV (constant voltage/voltage source) operating modes, the DP-P Series can be controlled via modern digital interfaces RS232, RS485, RS422 to set and record output values. The ARM architecture-based digital control loop provides fast response times and continuous monitoring of output values, resulting in high stability and accuracy. Supporting the Modbus RTU protocol, the Multifunctional Laboratory Power Supply can be easily integrated into a new or existing infrastructure and interact with Labview, while it can also be operated completely independently via front panel controls.

High-quality components and extensive experience in the development of laboratory and industrial power supplies enable compact dimensions despite high performance. Intelligent cooling regulates the speed depending on the set output parameters and temperature, so that the laboratory power supply only responds with an increase in speed when it is really needed. The DP-P series multifunctional laboratory power supplies deliver up to 1.2 kW of power from a 19" 2U 1/2 width cabinet, which allows two devices to be mounted side by side in a 3U slot (with adapter). In addition, DP-P series laboratory power supplies can be mounted in racks cabinet sizes used freestanding in all cabinet sizes – the appropriate mounting accessories for rack installation are included free of charge with all devices in 2U and 3U designs. Suitable mounting accessories for two 19" 2U 1/2 devices in one slot can be ordered separately.

Because the development of the DP-P series of multifunctional laboratory power supplies focused on power-intensive laboratory applications with high demands on precision and automation, laboratory power supplies in this series come with a comprehensive software suite for Windows 10 & 11 that leaves almost nothing to be desired. Whether it's simple adjustment and monitoring of output values or programming of repetitive complex voltage/current curves – everything can be done quickly and easily. The power supply can be connected via RS485, RS232, or RS422, and communication via Modbus-RTU guarantees low latency and reliable data transmission.
Compatible with many external expansion modules of the AP Series

Expand your DP-P Series laboratory power supply with additional functions—even after purchase.

DP-P Series power supplies are compatible with many optional AP Series expansion modules, so you are no longer limited to the configuration you choose when ordering, but can also expand certain functions at a later date using external modules. The AP Series is continuously being expanded and maintained with new modules, so that you can also expand existing units in the future with new functions that we will introduce.
Currently, the following AP Series expansion modules are compatible with DP-P Series laboratory power supplies:
Model AP9: Combined reverse current protection (inductive and capacitive loads)
Depending on the maximum voltage and current, the module is manufactured in 19″ 1U 1/2, 2U, or 3U designs and protects your power supply unit from reverse currents that can occur when operating with large capacitive or inductive loads. This means you do not need any additional protective circuitry between the power supply unit and your load, which greatly reduces the effort involved.
Model AP8: Additional EMC filter with output capacity
Some loads require a cleaner voltage than the power supply unit can deliver in its basic configuration, or, conversely, generate very strong interference (e.g., due to high-frequency current consumption with very steep edges—square wave) which can affect the control of the power supply unit at high currents. For these cases, we have developed the AP8 module, which combines a three-stage EMC filter with a large fast capacitance to further stabilize the output voltage of the power supply in critical applications and to protect the power supply from influences caused by loads. This combination guarantees a stable output voltage even under maximum load from complex high-frequency loads.

Equipped with RS232, RS422, and RS485 as standard with full Modbus RTU support, DP-P series laboratory power supplies can be quickly and effectively integrated into your existing infrastructure. A remote-sensing input, analog status output (fault/normal), and interlock loop are also available as standard.
Digital interfaces RS232, RS422, and RS485
Equipped with RS232, RS422 and RS485 connections as standard, with full support for the Modbus RTU protocol, laboratory power supplies of the DP-P series allow both integration into existing infrastructures and the development of a new one. The open Modbus RTU protocol allows customised control solutions to be implemented quickly and effectively, so that nothing stands in the way of automation.
remote-sensing input
The remote-sensing input is installed as standard in all Multifunctional Laboratory Power Supplies of the DP-P Series and allows for the line losses between the power supply unit and the load to be compensated. The power supply unit can compensate for losses of up to 2V by measuring the voltage at the load and automatically counteracting it. This function is particularly useful for high currents of over 100A and/or particularly long cables with small diameters. Furthermore, the remote-sensing input is necessary for connecting modules of the AP series.
Interlock loop
Analog 5V loop for blocking and enabling the output.
Analog status output
The analogue status output enables the function of the laboratory power supply unit to be monitored via a 2-pin line with two states: 0V error / 5V function
